Existing members who are Gold status or below are eligible for the Platinum status upgrade. After the upgrade, the member must qualify for this elite status each calendar year.

To qualify for Choice Privileges points and bonus points, members must book their stays via ChoiceHotels.com, the Choice Hotels mobile app, or 800.4CHOICE at qualifying rates. Corporate travelers may book through their online booking tool, GDS, or with a travel agent. Choice Privileges member number must be provided upon check-in. Guests must book their preferred corporate rate. Most stays are eligible to earn Choice Privileges points EXCEPT: rooms booked at rates below $40 USD per night, certain hotel initiated promotions, reward night stays, complimentary rooms, rooms paid for as part of a convention or meeting, rooms booked through a travel agent or third party online retailer including online travel agencies, wholesale packages, group tours, and stays booked using the employee discount or the friends and family discount.

Elite Platinum members receive a 25% point bonus on stays where Choice Privileges points are earned. Bonus points will be awarded beginning with the first stay after Elite Status is earned. The bonus does not apply to Airline miles, Amtrak Guest Rewards points, points earned from the Choice Privileges^® Visa^® card or any other promotion. To be eligible to earn points, members must set their earning preference to Choice Privileges points in their online account. Any change made to earning preference will remain in effect unless the member changes it back. Allow up to 6 weeks from check-out for points to post.
