A "qualifying stay" is a stay at a participating hotel that is eligible to earn Choice Privileges points, that is booked through ChoiceHotels.com, ChoiceHotels.ca, the Choice Hotels mobile app, or 800.4CHOICE (corporate travelers may book through their online booking tool, GDS, or with a travel agent). Stays at vacation rental property locations do not qualify.

Most stays are eligible to earn Choice Privileges points EXCEPT: rooms booked at rates below $40 USD per night, reward night stays, complimentary rooms, rooms paid for as part of a convention or meeting, rooms booked through a travel agent or third party online retailer including online travel agencies, wholesale packages, group tours, and stays booked using the employee discount or the friends, family and associate discount.

After completing a qualifying stay with the required number of nights in the email offer by March 31, 2019, the member will be awarded the indicated Elite status. The status will be added to the member's account within 6 weeks after the final qualifying stay. Elite membership obtained through the promotion will be valid until 12/31/2020 and must be earned thereafter according to then-current Choice Privileges program requirements.
